Chronic Migraine is a disabling condition that affects the 2% of migraine population. It is often associated with medication overuse that makes this condition very difficult to treat. The literature of the last decades confirm the efficacy of withdrawal for patients with medication overuse but it is also confirmed that patients have to be carefully followed in the last period after withdrawal to avoid relapses and to improve the clinical benefit of the therapeutic approach. It has been also reported how the clinical results can be improved when traditional therapies are combined with behavioral approaches in particular mindfulness, that help patient to become more conscious about their symptoms and able to manage pain without medication. Generally patients after withdrawal follow a specific prophylaxis for migraine, but also come weekly to the hospital for practicing mindfulness for 6 sessionsAs the emergency situation due to the Corona-virus pandemic phenomenon in Italy, patients will miss the possibility to come for the regular practice to the hospital: for this reason the investigator propose a small pilot study to enforce the use of technology for our patients so that they can continue to be followed in their therapeutic process. This preliminary study will be conducted on 25 patients that have been submitted to a withdrawal according to the standard procedure at our hospital and they will practice mindfulness daily by a standard session of 12 minutes on their smartphone recorded by the expert who generally manage their sessions at the hospital and also a weekly video-call to evaluate the clinical condition and to encourage to use strategies for pain management. This modality will allow the patients to continue their therapeutic process and to be followed regularly during the one year after withdrawal

Measure: Change in Quality of life Time: 6months - 12 monthsAnxiety, depression and stress are common during pregnancy. These have been found to negatively impact mother and child outcomes. When anxiety, depression, and stress are present in pregnant women, it is therefore important to manage them to improve the outcome of the mother and her child. Although pregnancy itself has been shown to increase anxiety, depression and stress, these issues are further elevated in high-risk pregnancy groups. Mothers at risk of preterm delivery (less than 37 weeks gestational age), have been found to have higher rates of depression, anxiety and stress compared to uncomplicated term pregnancies. In addition, anxiety, depression and stress symptoms themselves increase the risk for preterm delivery, creating a vicious cycle for this high-risk group. Mindfulness is a tool that has been during pregnancy to reduce depression, anxiety, and stress. Many studies have found mindfulness to be an appropriate management option in normal term pregnancies. To date, there have been no studies that have looked at Mindfulness as a tool for mothers admitted due to risk of preterm delivery. This study will explore the impact of teaching mindfulness skills to inpatient mothers at risk of preterm delivery and studying its effects on maternal depression, anxiety, and stress. This study involves providing Mindfulness strategies during the mother's inpatient admission for the risk of preterm delivery for four consecutive weeks. Participants will be enrolled through informed consent. All participants will be given pre and post participation questionnaires to examine the impact of mindfulness on anxiety, depression and stress. The participants will also be encouraged to maintain a weekly mindfulness log. The results of this research may lead to future studies looking at the impact of mindfulness practice for high-risk pregnancies. This will also help open up the possibility of offering such courses for inpatient and outpatient high-risk pregnancies in the future.

A high score in both scales (and subscales)means a high mindful awareness level.

Generally, according to standard clinical practice, young patients (12-17 yrs old) treated by mindfulness practice come to the hospital to practice mindfulness in small groups of patients for 6 weekly 45 minutes sessions. As the emergency situation due to the Corona-virus pandemic phenomenon in Italy, patients missed the possibility to come for the regular practice to the hospital: for this reason the investigators propose a small pilot study to enforce the use of technology for patients so that they can continue to be followed during their therapeutic process. This preliminary study will be conducted on 25 patients They will be trained to practice mindfulness daily by a standard session of 12 minutes on their smartphone recorded by the expert who generally manage their sessions at the hospital. Also a weekly video-session will be performed to evaluate the clinical condition, to practice guided mindfulness sessions and to encourage to use strategies for pain management . This modality will allow patients to continue their therapeutic process and to be followed regularly during the one year after treatment. Follow up sessions are planned every three months: these meetings at the hospital will be face-to-face with every patient to check the clinical condition by the patient's diary. Last follow up one year after treatment.
